PROGRAM DIRECTORS

Program Heads are experts in a particular program area at camp and directly
supervise camp counselors teaching and coaching. Program Heads have a high level of expertise in
their area including experience supervising, teaching, and coaching children ages 6-15 as well as staff.
Program Heads are self-starters, flexible, organized and creative. They are leaders of their areas and
part of the leadership team at camp. The program head organizes and oversees many areas including:
- Supervise and instruct during activity periods
- Prepare and facilitate orientation for program area staff
- Staff Scheduling
- Curriculum design for campers age 7-15
- Facility and Equipment Maintenance
- Activity staff performance reviews for the Directors
- Coaching/Teaching education for area staff
- Assist and participate in Evening Activities and Special Events
