Jim Saindon, Equestrian Program Director, Camp Kippewa

Jim Saindon, who has coordinated the program for over 25 years, directs the Equestrian program at Camp Kippewa.
A retired elementary and middle school teacher, Jim is also a competitive rider who has trained and showed
Arabian horses for 45 years. Jim has won numerous Class A medals in the U.S. and Canada including major awards
such as: Champion in 7 states and Canada; East Coast Top 5; Regional Top 5. His proudest moment was training and
exhibiting the first State of Maine bred Arabian horse to win the International Legion of Merit. With Jim, horses
are a lifelong passion that began when he was 12 years old. He currently owns Skyview Farm, right next door to Kippewa,
where he continues to raise and train horses year-round.
